  • You may not notice immediate changes, but continue taking Simvastatin as prescribed.

  • With regular use, your cholesterol levels should decrease within a month.

What to Do if You Miss a Dose

  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember

  • However, if you don’t remember until the next day, then skip the missed one

  • Never double up on doses to make up for a missed one.

  • Avoid St John’s Wort a herbal remedy that is used for depression.

  • Limit alcohol consumption while taking Simvastatin to minimise side effects.

  • Avoid grapefruit juice, as it can increase Simvastatin levels in the body.
